Description
These tests are structured as games and consist in completing a journey in the shortest time possible. The image of the journey is a metaphor that can be adapted to several contents. Reaching the goal depends on the number of correct answers given by learners.
On top of that, each answer is linked to the obtainment of an object, which can have a “positive” connotation (a bonus such as a coin, a jolly and so on) in the case of correct answers, or a “negative” one (e.g. a banana skin, bad weather, etc.) for wrong answers.
Scores are based on two elements: the number of correct answers and the time taken to complete the journey.
The “game” connotation of these Learning Objects stimulates motivation elements such as competitiveness to achieve high scores and the feeling of being involved in a training “adventure”.

The graphics and animations used for Test Games include:
_ Creation of a metaphor
_ Creation of a customized graphical interface
_ Adjustment of the whole environment to the customer’s image and the chosen metaphor
_ Use of drawings of characters and/or situations
