Description
Basic Lessons are Learning Objects comprising text screens alternated with practice slides. The latter are devised to keep learners’ attention focused while facilitating the acquisition of contents through their practical application. They differ from Rapid Multimedia Lessons in that they do not entail any on-screen animations but only text conveyed in boxes or simple diagrams.
Interactivity
With a view to guaranteeing the effectiveness of learning, the lesson screens are alternated with various practice slides, such as:
_ Multiple-choice questions
_ Multiple-answer questions
_ Combination exercises
_ Sorting exercises
Lessons can include reference material in the form of:
_ Pop-ups (small windows containing text or images)
_ In-depth analyses
The viewer reflects the setting of the course and contains not only the navigation buttons but also a number of lateral environments supporting the learning process, such as the “Resources” environment – containing all in-depth analysis pages – or the “Printable version” of the course – allowing learners to have a version of the slides on paper.
Graphics and Animations
The graphics and animations used for Basic Lessons and respective viewers can include:
_ Predefined interface with customers’ logos or colour patterns
_ Synchronization of on-screen texts with the audio
Multimedia
The screens are enhanced by:
_ Sound with the recorded voice of a professional actor
_ Synchronization of on-screen elements with the audio commentary
